I am tired of banging my knees on the coamings of my Arima and am considering the new product offered by SeaDek...(www.seadek.com). I would have them custom made and colored to match the boat. Has anyone used this product and if so, what do you think of them?

I have been out in my boat all week , using a cheap 3 step hook ladder just isnt cutting it , any suggestions on a good boarding ladder ? Should i just buy the one from Arima ? Is the Arima ladder very hard to install ?

Sleeper to Storage Conversion?

I have the sleeper companion in my 16'SC and since it needs reupholstering (very badly), I figured that now would be a good time to convert to the storage seat. Before I do I have a question...

adding a second bilge pump

Contemplating adding a backup to my old 17' Sea Chaser. I recall there were some good write-ups on this on the old board... anyone save them by chance? Do I need to screw the mounting base of the new one down into the fiberglass, or will it hold if I use some 3M adhesive? Any suggestions on snaking the wire around the gas tank?

Now that I have my modified Garelick kicker bracket (changed from adjustable to solid) installed I was looking for a way to remote steer the kicker withough going to the expense of an EZ Steer set up. I had a Stearns Motor Link tie rod set up left over from when I sold another boat. It worked fine then because both motors were mounted on the same transom. On my new-to-me Sea Hunter the kicker is both offset to the rear and somewhat higher than the main motor so the original straight...

Side rails with downrigger mounting plates

On the old forum I remember several people posted photographs of side rails they had custom-made that had downrigger mounting plates. Could someone please re-post this information, possibly with dimensions, who made them and cost? I know Arima makes side rails, but I believe these do not have the mounting plates.

Storage Seats

I was thinking about putting in storage seats in my Sea Ranger but I'm not too excited about the amount of room they seem to take up. I currently have two permanent pedestal seats and two motion marine movable seats. Who has the storage seats and what do you think about them? We usually fish three people but...

Radar arches or fish towers?

I was hoping some people could share some pictures of their towers or radar arches. I have seen a few on the old site, but I'm hoping to see some other (different styles) for our soft top owners and where they mounted the feet etc. Any websites out there that show these arches mounted on any Arimas or other similar rigs? Steering Wheel Removal (without destroying it)

Ok, this is not a big deal, but this is how I removed the old plastic steering wheel without having to destroy it (so the marine exchange store will buy it). Used common steering wheel pulley combined with common tie down strap - see photo. Worked great, new wheel is now installed. Yes, I know, I need to replace the interior wood with Star-Board, it's coming soon.
